New York Rangers Make The Playoffs

After hard work and determination and failing to miss the playoffs for the past seven seasons the
New York rangers clinched a playoff position after beating the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday April 4th with a 3 to 2 victory that came during a shoot out.

The rangers policy change could possibly have something to do with it because, in “2004 when older players were traded off for youngsters and draft picks. The new salary cap put the payroll in line with the rest of the league and gave
New York a chance to win the old-fashioned way” (Mercury News).

In my opinion only time and luck will tell us how far the rangers make it during this years 2006 NHL playoffs. Who knows maybe
New York will get to finally host Lord Stanley’s cup.
