X-BOX 360

When the Xbox 360 hit the market in December of 2005 just in time for Christmas it became one of the hottest selling items. So hot that the supply was not their to meet the demand because the Microsoft corporation ran into some manufacturing problems. But now those problems seem to be subsiding for the Microsoft Corporation on Tuesday they announced that “it will significantly increase the availability of its Xbox 360 videogame consoles, after production problems that have made the popular game systems difficult to find on store shelves”(seattlepi). Their for now allowing the Microsoft Corporation to “distribute two to three times as many Xbox 360 consoles to retailers each week than it did before.” 

In my opinion the Microsoft Corporation did this because they know that the demand for their product would be high their for they wanted to be able to have a low supply to make it in accessible to many. Their for allowing the demand to still be their when the Microsoft corporation was ready to release more of the Xbox 360. All though I do believe that this was the wrong thing for them to do because it will hurt him in the long run with sales because they forced many people to have to wait for the product and now many may not be interested including myself. Their for the Xbox 360 is a product that took the market by storm but may have to beg for consumers money once there is enough of them to finally go around.
